Traditionally, many Dutch people leave for a skiing holiday to Tyrol every year. In the elongated ski areas you are almost always assured of snow and you will find beautiful slopes for beginners and more experienced skiers. While the cozy Gerlos is known for its large après-ski offer, the village of Niederau (Tirol) is very suitable for a ski holiday.
In this large ski area you can make day trips where you do not have to take the same slope once. During the tours you can enjoy the most beautiful views and after a day of winter sports there is plenty to do in the evening in one of the many après-ski venues. When you make a long day trip, keep in mind that the connections between the different areas can be busy in the high season.
The Wildschönau is connected to the Alpbachtal, resulting in more than 110 km of ski slopes. Near the village there are several practice slopes, one of the reasons why a stay in Niederau is so suitable for family holidays. Skiers of different levels can enjoy themselves in the ski area. The facilities are also extensive and modern. At the village there are drag lifts and there is a cabin lift. Even if you don’t want to ski for a day, there is plenty to do.
